Sad News
Mother lost her battle this evening and has gone to be with God, family and friends. Thank you for you kindnesses. She is with God, family and friends. I know that she is praising God and singing. I miss her very much and always will. I will miss our almost daily talks as I drove home from school. No one will ever fill that gaping hole in my day. I know God will send the greatest comfort. I also know that heaven is a warmer place with her stitching and enjoying the company of her Redeemer. I love you Mother. Keep a light on for Daddy, Donna and me. We will join you in the future. I will see you again.
God bless and comfort you all. So sorry to hear of your loss.
I will continue to keep you all in my prayers
And I count it a blessing to have had the joy of reading Mrs. Crumlys wonderful tales and writings.
Sand Mountain has lost a wonderful person, a gifted storyteller and a true friend. Billie Crumly was a direct connection to “the old days.” Through her newspaper columns, books and public speaking, she reminded us that — before our modern conveniences came along — even when life was hard it could be filled with fun and family and joy in the simple things. At an age when many people are slowing down, Billie was moving into new territory by launching a blog! She was one of the most interested and interesting people I’ve ever had the privilege of calling my friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Crumly family. She was a true gift, and we are all blessed to have known her.
I am so saddened by this news. You all are in my prayers. Take care of Mr. John, and yourselves.

God Bless you all!!!! So, so sorry!!!
We will miss Aunt Bill so much! We came to know her well over the past year. Crystal was especially close to her. She enjoyed learning to crotchet and hand quilt from Mrs. Crumly. We always loved our visits to see her and Mr. Crumly. She was a really special lady.
I’m so sorry for your loss and will keep you all in my prayers. She was always very sweet to me and we usually shared a laugh. I’m so glad that she inspired me to learn to tat. She will be missed.
Mrs Crumly was an amazing southern lady ~ witty, generous, extremely talented, and intelligent. Yes, it’s a very sad time for those of us who loved her. One day we will be able to see death as He does ~ as a victory ~ your mother’s/wife’s/my friend’s grandest moment of life ~ Her entrance into eternal life! “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His godly ones.” Proverbs 116:15
Sad indeed! A part of my past is now missing.
