Christmas Gift!!!!!!!

Saying these two words first on Christmas morning has been a tradition of my mothers family for more than 100 years that I know about.  My mother was born in 1885 and her family said this all her life.  My girls both said, “Christmas Eve Gift” to me first yesterday on the phone.  Whoever says the term first is supposed to get a gift.  I said that to John earlier this morning and it was just like pouring water on a duck’s back!!  No gift!!  Of course, I’ve never know of anybody giving or receiving a gift because they said it first.

Don’t forget the reason for the season, even though you may have to spend time with kin that get on your last nerve or have some other unpleasant happening.
