Beautiful Hydrangeas

One day recently, a dear friend of Mother’s stopped in to visit at the hospital. Celestine or “C” to some is a gardening friend.  To the best of my knowledge they met at the master gardners group in Fort Payne. These two ladies have a love of hydrangeas. When I was a imagechild the only hydrangea that I knew bloomed blue or pink, but there are dozens of varieties.

My daddy is also good with flowers. Mother says that he can root broom handles.  C told a story of some cuttings that Daddy rooted and then Mother cared for them.  These cuttings were destined for the Master Gardeners Spring Plant Sale, but they unfortunately did not survive the harsh winter that was here on the Blooms so heavy they droopmountain this year.

There are many of you who could name these glorious bloomers, but I hope you will enjoy the pictures just the same. I can not name them!

Patient Update:  Mother now has a feeding tube and is becoming more alert and responsive!  Your continued prayers are appreciated and welcomed. Prayer works!  Just look at Mother. If she continues as she has done this weekend, I would look for her at least dictating blogs in the next few weeks. There is still much work to do, but we are encouraged.image

Beautiful hydrangeas do indeed brighten my spirit; however, in no means do they come close to bringing joy that the good news of the patient just did! I am praising our great Physician and thanking the Lord that my friend is more alert and responsive. Praying that she will continue healing.
