An Update
Yesterday was surgery day for your favorite blogger. I can only say that the power of pray knows no boundaries. Mother came through the surgery very well. The infection in the wound has been removed. She is still very sick as she battles pneumonia and a bladder infection, but the fear of having to remove the hip implant is over. She is improving.
I want to thank Russ Austin who has diligently helped me keep this blog going. We will continue because Mother will be back with many new tales to relate to you, her faithful readers. I commend the ICU staff of Marshall Medical Center South. They have spoiled Daddy and me and most of all, Mother. The doctors who have and are attending to her are very willing to answer all of our questions and have worked to keep us at peace; they have helped Mother so very much. Dr. Sam Lang, my cousin, has consulted with doctors and the family. Sam has helped translate medical information into language that we can understand. All of our family – from distant cousins to those closest – thank you for helping me survive the trials of Mother’s illness.
I also want to thank you, the readers of this blog for your encouraging comments, thoughts and prayers. If you are deserving of thanks, I am sorry that I did not mention you by name, but the cards are so uplifting for Mother!
Now for some Windy Knoll information.

If you are not an early riser, pick a morning, take your coffee and just go outside and listen. Your ears will be filled with the sounds of quiet and the lovely sounds of the morning.
Quiet time – a necessary part of my variety of
