Just have to share a story about Billie Crumly who went to London, Amsterdam, and Paris with a group of quilters from the Atlanta area. All of her traveling buddies had gotten through customs and Billie Crumly was being held back. She finally asked the person talking to her if there was any problem that was delaying her departure and he told her that they just wanted to keep her talking so they could hear her. She promptly got her duds together and scurried to be with her group.
Also when they were in Paris she along with her group of quilting friends were on the subway and it was packed. Her friends had gotten off the train and she was saying “Pardon” in her best southern French and no one moved. Finally, in a loud voice she says “Make way for the lady with the baby!” She said it was like the parting of the sea and she got off the train.
Miss her stories too. She did have a way with words, for sure.
