I too remember the hand cranked freezer of ice cream. And I was the one who had to sit on that old toe sack that was placed over the top. A cool seat indeed. But, them were the good ole’days.

I can still see Daddy’s strong, tanned, work roughened hands turning that crank, while we waited in anticipation, and great impatience!

It was always well worth the wait, too!
