Has Mrs. Crumbly’s blog come to an end? Is no one going to post here, again, ever?

If so, that’s sad, but I guess all good things come to an end, sooner, or later.

I still enjoyed seeing Russ Austin’s photography, and the occasional posts from the daughters, and Russ, but I understand that they all have things that must be done in their own lives.

Anyway…I pray for God’s richest blessings for you all, and for Mr. John.

Ah yea. I too remember the hand cranked freezer of ice cream. And I was the one who had to sit on that old toe sack that was placed over the top. A cool seat indeed. But, them were the good ole’days.

How well I remember those hand cranked buckets of ice cream…with peaches, and sometimes just plain vanilla, but always delicious!

I can still see Daddy’s strong, tanned, work roughened hands turning that crank, while we waited in anticipation, and great impatience!

It was always well worth the wait, too!

I love my pets too. Horses are one of my favorites but as time has gone by, now only have a dog and a cat. At one time, I had 4 horses and a pony for the grandchildren. First one was my daughter’s horse that her grandfather got for her when she was 16. When we moved here, that horse was about 25 years old and developed cancer and died (Dr. Martin was such a blessing during that time). Other horses were obtained along the line but all have died. A friend
volunteered to keep the last one (my oldest granddaughter’s who now lives in San Diego, Ca,) when I got physically unable to give her the care she needs. As often as I can, I go visit. Know she is happier as she has a little pony buddy there and taken really good care of.
