A Windy Knoll/Sand Mountain Snow Report
Well today finds another “guest” writer. I am Russ Austin and as the crow flies I live about a half a mile from Mrs. Billie Crumly. Mrs. Crumly is again without an internet connection this morning. But thank God we all still have our power unlike some folks in the south. Sand Mountain people are just not made for 8 inches of snow.
As you will see in the photos posted today, Sand Mountain looks like we could have our own Winter Olympic Games.
For someone like me that finds snow pretty, but would rather not have it, I will quote a favorite English teacher from high school, “this to shall pass.”
I will not bore you with a lot of information today but I will make this post a visual of just my small part of country living.

oh beautiful. Thank you for posting and for the photos. We had about 3″ in Woodstock GA and I truly enjoyed seeing it. I am fortunate and did not have to travel in it and we too had power. It will finish melting off today. It was pretty while it lasted. We made a big pot of ham bone soup and shared it with our neighbor yesterday along with cornbread.
Beauty photos. I too appreciate the beauty but to have the snow come and go quickly is just great! Make any snow cream?? My daughter did and it was delicious!
