A Windy Knoll Report

Well, here it is December 31 and I’m the proud (?) owner of a new laptop with Windows 8 .  I’ve heard how hard Windows 8 is to learn and here I am about to take on yet another learning. How old does one have to be to quit learning?  We’ll see how this turns out — if you see the article askew — out of line, typos, repeats and no telling what else just say, “Well, poor thing she’s having a time with Windows 8.”

I want to take this opportunity to thank you, my readers.  I’m in awe of how you have followed Country Living.   When I lost my paper-writing job in late March I was devastated; however, a Georgia friend started telling me I should blog.  After giving it lots of consideration, this blog was first done June 1, 2013: we’ve had over 140,00 hits — with 10% of you out of the US.

5 What a thrill it is for this old lady to know you enjoy reading about old days and old ways. During the month of December we’re averaging well over 1,000 a day.  Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart.  Now stay tuned to see how this new adventure goes.

I have to give our youngest lots of credit — we spent hours together on the phone, during the summer and in Google Hangout with me learning about how to do this and that and now I’m about to try to learn how to do it a different way.  Albeit, this is also country living.

HAPPY NEW YEAR
